This is a superb, pioneering opportunity to join an exceptional international Group enjoying stellar growth across APAC whilst maintaining its mission toward real estate investment, development, asset and fund management of Greenfield/Brownfield industrial & logistics assets on behalf of its institutional investors. It has built a highly cosmopolitan team and a regional portfolio in excess of US$12bn and its growth will continue apace throughout 2021 and beyond as the company enters new markets. A number of new, key appointments are required, including a Development Manager.
Reporting to the Executive Management team, the appointed individual will be KL-based whilst supporting proposed greenfield built-to-suit or brownfield re-development projects across the country. This will include responsibility for ensuring that all projects are profitable and to the satisfaction of all internal and external stakeholders (investment/asset management and corporate customers). Naturally, a key aspect of the role will be satisfying anticipated investment returns to investment partners whilst also ensuring that value add and sustainability opportunities (asset enhancement, value engineering, floorplate optimisation) are also well-conceived from the initial planning and design stage of each project. Necessarily, there will be a need to manage projects from initial site feasibility studies through to the evaluation and selection of project consultants and contractors, grappling with contractual and construction matters whilst also complying with regulatory/building code requirements. As such, the appointed individual will manage project budgets, milestones, oversight of drawings and warranties through to completion and hand-over to the asset management and operational teams.
Interested candidates will offer an appropriate Degree (Civil / Architecture) complete with 5+ years’ prior experience within a Real Estate Development (land acquisition feasibility through design, planning, construction and delivery), preferably including broad commercial real estate exposure. Prior exposure to industrial/logistics assets would be beneficial whilst prior experience managing financial, technical, safety and regulatory matters are essential. To be successful, you will offer strategic foresight and a commanding presence to drive multiple development projects complete with a strong work ethic to meet deadlines and excellent interpersonal skills to forge team collaboration. Fluent bi-lingual proficiency of English and Bahasa is preferred.
In exchange the company will offer a salary in the region of MYR 250,000 – 280,000 plus benefits.
