The firm is now embarking upon a major growth of its Asia business underpinned by a new $1.5bn Asia Fund and an additional, unannounced product that is forthcoming. Significant hiring is anticipated over the next couple of years. Due to its capital deployment and AUM growth, this includes a need to appoint a Director/Senior Director of Debt Finance to support its regional transactions.

The Position

Reporting to the regional CIO, the appointed individual will enjoy a senior lead position to co-ordinate debt financing to support regional investment transactions across APAC. This will incorporate the sourcing, negotiation and structuring of all financing across the key Asia markets, managing debt RFP processes supported by appropriate collateral, pitchbooks through to debt structuring/pricing/syndication and closure whilst carefully building and maintaining lender relationships throughout the debt lifecycle. Due to the nature of the role and the need to support internal clients for proposed asset and development transactions, the appointed Director will capably advise across a range of debt products including construction loans, mezz and bridging loans, senior debt, refinancing and recapitalization.

Based upon performance over the first 18-24 months, the appointed individual can anticipate promotion to MD whilst building a supporting team.

The Person

Interested candidates will offer a Degree (Real Estate, Finance, Business) and around 10+ years of real estate debt sourcing/transactional experience preferably gained within a combination of lender and Fund/PE borrower environments. This will include a broad knowledge of the real estate debt market and appropriate lender pool and products available with an ability to co-ordinate, negotiate and close appropriate, optimized structures. An ability to manage multiple transactions across the Asia markets will be important whilst offering very strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

In return, the firm will offer a market-competitive salary based upon experience / track record.
