The Company
Our client is a diversified conglomerate expanding across Southeast Asia region, managing a portfolio of businesses across multiple industries. The group’s core activities are primarily centered around the energy and oil & gas sectors, including downstream energy operations, fuel trading, logistics, and distribution.
As part of its expansion into value-added downstream products, the organization is developing its lubricants business to serve automotive, industrial, and commercial sectors.
The Position
The General Manager – Lubricants will be responsible for building and leading the lubricants business including product strategy, market development, and distribution network growth. The role will oversee blending operations, product quality standards, and brand development while driving market penetration across multiple industry segments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead lubricant blending, product development, and quality assurance operations
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to expand lubricants market share
- Manage distribution networks including dealers, service centers, and industrial clients
- Build strategic partnerships with automotive, industrial, and logistics sectors
- Drive product portfolio growth across automotive, industrial, and specialty lubricants
- Oversee pricing strategy, margins, and revenue performance
- Strengthen brand positioning and market visibility
The Person
The successful candidate will bring strong experience in lubricants, petrochemical products, or related industrial sectors with a combination of commercial leadership and operational understanding. The individual should have proven experience developing distribution networks, managing product portfolios, and growing market share in competitive environments. A strong understanding of automotive and industrial customer segments, coupled with strategic leadership capability and commercial drive, will be essential for building a scalable lubricants business.
