The organization is actively developing mineral resources including coal, and gold, with a focus on building sustainable extraction, processing, and commercialization capabilities.

The Position

The General Manager – Mining will oversee the exploration, development, and commercial performance of the group’s mining assets. The role will lead operational activities across multiple mine sites while ensuring production efficiency, environmental compliance, and resource optimization.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead exploration, mine development, and production activities across multiple mineral resources
• Oversee extraction, processing, and logistics operations for coal and metal mines
• Manage mine planning, production targets, and operational efficiency programs
• Ensure environmental, health, and safety compliance across all mining operations
• Coordinate with government regulators, local stakeholders, and joint venture partners
• Develop commodity marketing and sales strategies for mineral outputs
• Manage operational budgets, capital expenditure programs, and project development

The Person

The ideal candidate is a seasoned mining professional with significant experience managing large-scale mining operations across exploration, extraction, and resource commercialization. The individual should demonstrate strong technical understanding of mining operations, regulatory frameworks, and environmental management while also possessing the leadership capability to manage multi-site operations. Experience working in emerging markets and building operational structures within developing mining sectors will be highly valued.
