The Company
Our client is a diversified conglomerate expanding across Southeast Asia region, managing a portfolio of businesses across multiple industries. The group’s core activities are primarily centered around the energy and oil & gas sectors, including downstream energy operations, fuel trading, logistics, and distribution.
In addition to its energy-related businesses, the group has established interests in real estate and is expanding into education and healthcare, among other sectors, as part of its long-term diversification strategy. Through its various subsidiaries and affiliated entities, the organization continues to strengthen its operational footprint while building more structured governance and leadership capabilities across the group.
As the organization continues to strengthen governance and scale its operations, the group is seeking a Head of Human Resources to lead organizational transformation, strengthen HR frameworks, and support workforce planning across its portfolio of businesses.
The Position
The Head of Human Resources will play a critical leadership role in shaping the group’s people strategy and organizational effectiveness as the business continues to expand and professionalize its operating structure. Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, the role will focus on driving cultural transformation, organizational design, and structured HR planning across multiple business entities.
Key responsibilities include:
Organizational Transformation & Culture Development
- Lead initiatives to strengthen organizational culture, leadership capability, and employee engagement
- Drive change management initiatives to support the group’s evolving business structure and growth strategy
- Establish frameworks that promote accountability, performance management, and leadership development
Organizational Structure & HR Governance
- Design and implement effective organizational structures across the group’s multiple business units
- Strengthen HR governance, policies, and procedures aligned with group growth and operational complexity
- Support senior leadership in defining reporting structures and workforce alignment with strategic priorities
Workforce Planning & Talent Strategy
- Lead strategic workforce planning across the group’s operating entities
- Develop talent acquisition, leadership succession, and capability development frameworks
- Strengthen HR systems and processes to support scalable organizational growth
HR Operations & Business Partnership
- Oversee core HR functions including recruitment, performance management, compensation, and employee relations
- Partner with business leaders to align HR initiatives with operational and commercial objectives
- Build a capable HR team that can support multiple business lines across the organization
The Person
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline, with advanced qualifications in HR or organizational development considered advantageous. The individual will bring 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including senior HR roles overseeing complex organizational structures across multiple business units or group environments.
Experience in energy, oil & gas, infrastructure, or real estate sectors will be highly valued, particularly within organizations that operate across multiple entities or holding company structures. Prior experience supporting organizational transformation, cultural change, and large-scale HR restructuring will be essential.
Candidates with prior professional exposure in Myanmar or Southeast Asia will be strongly preferred, particularly those with an understanding of the local business environment and the ability to work effectively within diverse and evolving organizational cultures.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong expertise in organizational design, workforce planning, HR governance, and leadership development, combined with the ability to operate as a strategic partner to senior leadership. A pragmatic, culturally adaptable approach and the ability to lead change in a growing and evolving business environment will be critical for success in this role.
