The Company

The company is a market leader and fast-growing licensed Internet Service Provider delivering high-quality and reliable connectivity services for enterprises and affordable high-quality in-home broadband services for consumers in Myanmar. The business aims to provide affordable access to Digital Information and useful IT Services throughout the country. To support this objective, it now seeks to appoint a Network Planning & Operations Director.

 

The Position

This is critical position within the Leadership team and requires with strong leadership skills and solid background in network operations, engineering, tools and technologies. The appointed individual will provide technical leadership and expertise across LAN, WLAN, WAN, Unified Communications, and VPN operating environments supporting multiple data centers or PoPs. This includes driving the modernization, automation, optimization to continuously improve operational effectiveness, agility, performance, availability and cost of the network services and staff.

The successful candidate will have responsibility and accountability across several key areas, including Operations planning, strategy & continuous improvement effort, Network tools selection, operations, and administration

 

The People

To be considered for this role, at least 10 years’ experience working as a Senior Leader in complex network operations is required. The candidate must have experience working with a large team of highly-effective engineering teams (150 – 300 total headcount), supporting through major technology transitions. He/she must be able to establish best-practice methodologies based on metrics-based KPIs for incident/change/problem management in a global, 24x7, high-availability, critical production environment. Proven track record of driving change and transformation in network operations processes, tools and technologies
