The company is an institutional investor that has been aggressively growing its APAC real estate investment from Singapore underpinned by substantial balance sheet and a growing pool of third-party capital. There is now a requirement to appoint an experienced real estate valuations specialist to oversee its substantial APAC portfolio of assets.
Based in Singapore, and reporting to the Regional Head of Risk & Portfolio, the successful individual will lead the valuation process for its diverse portfolio of assets across the region whilst upholding the integrity and compliance of the regional valuation process. This will require the evaluation and co-ordination of external valuers across 9-10 geographies and which will complement, and align with, independent desktop valuation exercises the outcome of which will include the review and approval by a valuation committee prior to reporting to global HQ. As a result, the Valuation Manager will closely collaborate with the Asia investment and asset management team to track each equity investment, act as the go-to data manager for asset and portfolio valuations whilst continuously monitoring market trends (asset type, geography) to enable accurate assessment of underlying valuation trends for the portfolio and which are similarly considered/adopted during external valuation exercises.

Interested candidates will offer a Degree in Real Estate, Finance or Economics/Business whilst offering a minimum of 7+ years professional experience and which should primarily have been secured as a Certified Valuer for property valuation. RICS membership and IVS appreciation is anticipated complete with a sound understanding of local requirements for real estate valuation. Necessarily, the appointed individual will offer resounding financial modelling skills to undertake independent valuation management and analysis of the substantive portfolio beside the acumen required to evaluate, appoint and manage external valuation partners. The successful individual is likely to offer a mature, responsible and business-like attitude with a tacit appreciation for project accountability whilst also offering outstanding written and verbal communication skills to enable stakeholder liaison at all levels.
